What's up Wednesdays?

Before I go straight into this weeks list, I must apologize (I think) for my sparse posts, School starts next week, and I'm just enjoying the rest of my summer (and recovering from swimmer's ear, it's nasty I tell ya!) Plus Piano and Violin lessons in the Fall, I might not be heard from too much in the next month. But excuses aside, my phone has been ringing off the hook begging for today's post!

(Not really, but my sister made sure to remind me it's wednesday, there certain people waiting to hear what I will say about a certain incident)

Awesome:

I still have one week of vacation left... maybe thats a sad thing.

Awkward:

My entire week. (Must I elaborate?)

Awesome:

A certain sibling's floor is visible again after months of chaos. (You know who you are!)

Awkward:

Practicing my Violin and my entire family decides its a good evening for taking a walk.

Awesome:

My new bike! I've been riding my Dad's bike for the summer, but (it's ugly) my new bike has a rack attached to the back for carrying stuff, the bike is a red/pink (or very dark pink with a hint of red) with black accessories.

Awkward:

My 6 month old brother throwing up his white milk on the front of my black dress, in public too! He isn't sick, some babies just throw up a lot because they still have and underdeveloped digestive system, and he was born early. Were used to it, but it's still not nice (to say the least!) I can't even count how many times I've had to change clothes after babysitting him.

Awesome:

The jewelry box I found at a thrift store, it's old but has lot's of storage space! (And it plays music when you pull out the bottom drawer)

It looks something like this but a bit thinner, not as nice, more of a "fixer upper" and brown... basically it doesn't look anything like this.

Awkward:

Setting my alarm to p.m instead of a.m by accident, three days in a row.

Awesome:

My Mom and I setting up an Etsy shop, I'll post a link to it when it's ready!)

Awkward:

There is that one moment that I have avoided putting into words, all I will say is: "You see there was this rip, in my jumper..." (I'm sure you'll be hearing of it elsewhere)... say it's hot in here! Well the forecast is something around 35c... I feel like 50c.

What's up Wednesdays?

Awkward:

The fact that I forgot about Awkward Wednesday posts until I saw Abby's post on Castles in the Air. Is it Wednesday already?

Awesome:

Getting 35g of stamps cheap on Ebay, and loving the variety! I Even got two from Greenland, two from Vatican state and some from Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Kenya, Ireland, British Guiana (google that one:), Israel, Jordan, Ceylon (Sri Lanka now), Sudan, Iraq and tons more! 

Awkward:

Wearing a long skirt on an outing and tripping all over myself the entire time, at least it didn't rip.

Awesome:

Marineland's Dragon roller coaster!

Awkward:

Looking for my brother, finding a boy that looks like him and tapping him on the shoulder saying "Let's go slowpoke!". The boy's face was priceless.

Awesome:

These dresses I found on Pinterest, aren't they gorgeous?!!

I would wear each one to a dance!

Awkward:

Being the only one screaming on the roller coaster (the big one thank you) just my luck to end up on a ride with all the coaster enthusiasts who have been on worse rides.

Awesome:

This bedroom

This secret room!!!!!

I wanted this in my house so bad when i was little! It just made more sense (it still makes more sense)

Yes!!!!

(I'm going to have to do a whole post on all the awesome things I'm going to put into my dream home) cause I'm really just a big kid.

What's up Wednesdays?

I'm busy tomorrow (the actual wednesday) so I'll post this a day early:)

Awkward:

The outer part of your bathing suit floating up like a balloon in the whirlpool area of the public swimming pool.

Awesome:

I'm pretty fast with the dolphin kick and I can hold my breath for almost 20 seconds while swimming (and holding your breath while exercising is hard)

I want a pool like this paradise!

Awkward:

Walking into a "pull" door when it's a "push" door, at the ice cream parlor

Awesome: 

My paper dolls finally arrived! (I collect them) Tom Tierney's "Charlotte of the Old South" and "Italian Renaissance costumes" are hard to find cheap.

Awkward:

Eating a snack, the phone ringing and my mom handing it to me saying "it's for you" I still have my mouth full but don't want to keep them waiting so "Chello dish ish Alishia" (wipes crumbs from the phone)

Awesome:

Homemade S'mores ice cream!

Awkward:

It's the story of my life

Awesome:

Going to Marineland!

I can't seem to compile too much in one week for this, so I'm thinking I'll make this a bi-weekly thing (Unless I have a really interesting week)

Whats up Wednesdays?

My friend Abby (over at Castles in the Air) told me that she had seen these segments "Awkward and awesome" on other blogs, where bloggers share the awkward and the awesome things that had happened to them that week. And I have decided to do just such a segment. But "Awkward and Awesome Wednesdays" sounded too boring so my title is "What's up Wednesdays?" but the "logo" as it were states simply, "Awkward and Awesome Wednesdays". These are all true, Enjoy!

Awkward:

Practicing your Violin and even the I-never-care cat begs to be let out of the house (because moving to the other end of the house is not far enough)

Awesome:

Finding a youtube video of the fiddle song "Devil's dream" (very popular fiddle song) on Sunday, and my Violin teacher pulling out the exact music for us to learn at my latest lesson (today)!

 Awkward:

Waiting to cross the street, I stopped looking at the crossing light, my mind wandered and I missed the walking signal. So I stood there like an idiot enjoying some cloud watching like I was in no hurry to cross.

Awesome:

Going shopping after Violin lessons and taking my violin along (because I can't leave it in the car). People look at you violin case like "She is a musician!" (And no one knowing I am a complete beginner and still sound pretty awful... according to my cat)

Awkward:

Walking along the sidewalk the other day and a fellow pedestrian walking by looks at me funny, I then glance at my image in the next window and realize I'm having a pretty bad hair day.

Awesome:

Figuring out how to play "My heart will go on" on the violin (I guess "All good things include Violins" this past week)

Awkward:

Waking up early to go on a day trip only to find out my brother is sick, one by one the others admit to not feeling well, dropping off like houseflies (just sick) but there I am like "okay... I cancel?"

Awesome:

I did not get sick.
