Answer the questions

Busy and incredibly short.

2. What was a highlight for you?

Hmmm I guess going to Marineland a lot, and surviving a Summer school course on politics.

3.What was the best thing you did?

Going on the Dragon roller coaster at Marineland! (But nothing short of a million dollars will convince me to ride the skyscreamer) oh, and finally taking Violin lessons was awesome too!

4.What was the worst thing about your Summer

Summer ending, summer school, and swimmers ear tie.

5.What was one of the craziest things you did this Summer?

Can't think of anything, I will update when I find something!

6. What books were you reading?

The chronicles of Narnia! Those were the big ones, I can't remember the others.

7.Are you going to School or staying at home

I'm leaving the club to become "One of those public school children" (*gasp!*)

8.Are you excited about School?

Yes and No.

9.What was the highlight of last year's School year?

Finishing it. (Don't mean to be so drab, but I'm not one of those "I love school!" people)

Honestly I'm counting down till next Summer, (but something exciting is happening next Summer!!!)

Hear it from an Introvert

I'm not shy, and I don't have a social anxiety. I simply take in the world.

I love being with people, and spending time with friends! I love going places and exploring. But alone time is as important, that's how we recharge.

They say that quiet people have the loudest minds. We are not boring.

We may be good listeners but we have things to say too, give us a chance.

Just because we are doing a quiet activity by ourselves, it does not necessarily mean "Somethings wrong"

Upholding a conversation isn't really our forte, but the better we know you the less that really matters.

We're not quiet 24/7, we have our "more extroverted" days. (to a certain extent)

We prefer to be the ones behind the camera.

Just because I don't cheer for my team, doesn't mean I'm not rooting for them!

Pay attention to our writing, it's how we express ourselves without getting talked over.

I have been nominated!

Abby at Castles in the Air has nominated me for "Sisterhood of the world bloggers award", Thank you for your nomination Abby:)

Here are the rules:

-Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you linking back to their blog(s)
-Put the award logo on your blog
-Answer the ten questions
-Make up 10 new questions for your nominees
-Nominate 10 blogs

Let's get started!

What is your favorite type of weather... rain, sun, snow, ect.
A warm sunny (but not blazing) brilliant blue-skyed, slightest hint of breeze (not windy) kind of day, maybe just a cloud here and there...and the birds singing.

If you could be transported back in time, or to the future, which would you choose?
I don't mean to sound like an old sap, but just the other day I was thinking about how bad everything has gotten in recent years (meaning evil) just about every tv show (and movie) features all kinds of evil things that are now considered "Normal" homosexuality, divorce, fornification, all of that. And I do sometimes wish I lived in a simpler time... So I would definitely go back in time (not too far, just the 30s or something. Though I do love pioneer times... and besides... What terrible things may I find in the future? (book reference)

Do you like the smell of old books?
Do I LIKE the smell of old books? No. I LOVE IT!!! I live and breathe books, they are everywhere (literally everywhere you can't step or sit down on a clear space) Well that's my house anyways...

What does music mean to you?
Hmmm... what does it mean to me. Well I don't think I could live without it. There is constantly a tune in my head, I almost never do stuff like blogging or something else on my computer without opening another window somewhere with music on it. So I guess to me its one of life's essentials, just like food or sleep.

Favorite Narnia character? (so far)
Well as you know it used to be Edmund, but funny thing I do believe it's ole Puddleglum now (big surprise huh?)

Favorite Fashion time period? (Regency, Victorian ect)
Taking comfort considerations out of this, I guess I always come back to Victorian fashion, they just had so many lovely dresses... the hairstyles were nice too...

Which do you enjoy better, reading or writing?
Jimminy why must you make it so darn hard? (I shall evade direct confrontation, Huh!) It will depend on the day (maybe even the hour) right now I say reading (though I am writing not reading right now aren't I?) well saturday It was reading, Sunday was writing today I am rambling... I can't do it!!! I throw this evil question back at you, which do you enjoy more Abby? (villainous-grin-because-I-bet-you-will-struggle-too)

If you had the opportunity to go to Narnia, would you take it ?
What kind of question is that?!! If I offered you a million dollars would you say "No thanks"? If someone said "make a wish, any wish, it will be granted" would you decline? If... I think I make myself clear... (I can be such a rambler) believe me I had to edit this answer to assure your ears don't fall of.

If you could be on a movie production team, what position would you choose? (Actors are not allowed)
How about actresses? (just kidding) Well this is a quandary... I just took Careers in school and two positions I actually have in my "consideration box" are costume designer or stage/set designer, I am leaning towards the latter...

How would you define your personality?
This question was unexpected. Hmmm, as you can tell from my blog I do like sarcasm (nothing mean you understand) joking, babbling, some romance, creative stuff... I'll try to sum it up (Take a big breath) here goes! "A-sarcastic-funny (I hope) -quiet-but-observant-passionate-loyal-mostly-reliable (I do lose everything!) -creative-romantic-at-heart. (Don't ponder the last line, at heart means you won't be hearing too much of it:) By losing everything I mean items by the way, not "the loser" type of person...

I nominate Clara at Reasons to Smile, and anyone else who has not been nominated yet:)

Here are my 10 (random) questions:

1) Do you prefer dresses/skirts or pants?
2) Favorite Disney movie growing up?
3) Name one character from a book you wish were your friend
4) If you could have any animal in the world for a pet (and it's tame) what would you pick?
5) If you could learn a new language in a month, what language would you chose?
6) Who is your favorite Author?
7) Is there something you collect? (stamps, hats, certain comics whatever:)
8) If you had just one wish what would it be?
9) If you won a million dollars what would you do with it?
10) How do you feel about thunderstorms? (do you love them hate them or not care?)

Have fun!

Also, sorry for talking like a Charles Dickens novel half the time, I hope you understood half of what you were reading:)

Top 10 Disney songs

Oh no not another Disney post! (*gag*) Sorry... but... its... another Disney post! ... yes? oh well here goes... (and I won't put any Pirates of the Caribbean in here, I promise)

This was really hard to do, they all practically tie so I did not prioritize them.

I won't say I'm in love (Hercules)
This song gets catchier every time I hear it, (and I have pressed the replay button uncountable times) it almost has an old time rock and roll or a jazzy kind of "ring" to it

I'll make a man out of you (Mulan)
The song starts out as "just another song" but soon turns into a pumped up "We can do it!" that I love to listen to over and over again. (and over and over and over...)

Let it go (Frozen)
Sure your little sister is driving you crazy with this one, but you have to admit its a very good song. It has lovely piano music, and though it takes Idina Menzel a little time to get into it, once she does the song becomes that beautiful I hate it but I love that it is today. (and don't even get me started on the multi-language one!)

For the firzt time in forever (Frozen)
Yes its Frozen so yes little kids will torture you with it, but if you really listen, its a good song.

I just can't wait to be king (The Lion King)
Catchy, catchy annoy... Catchy!

Part of your world (The Little Mermaid)
A classic of classics you could adapt the lyrics to anything you long for.

Kiss the girl (The Little Mermaid)
The little Mermaid was my favorite Disney movie when I was little (and it still has a place in my heart) It had a lot of great songs, but who doesn't want to sha la la la away to this one? Besides that it excellently portrays the urgency behind it all you can almost feel it...

Colors of the Wind (Pocahontas)
Such a lovely song!

Under the Sea (The Little Mermaid)

Another "under sea" orchestra (courtesy of Sebastian the Crab)

The Gospel Truth (Hercules)

These 5 women in the Hercules movie provide the singing (and I love that African-American style!)

So thats my 10 way tie of favorite Disney movies. I did not include the songs sung by artist that were played during the movie (such as Phil Collins in Tarzan, and Elvis Presley (and covers) in Lilo & Stitch) These songs were sung by the characters in the movie.

Tag: Top 10 Theme Songs

I recently discovered this thing called "Tags" where you are "tagged"  to answer some questions on a certain topic (such as screen characters). So I decided to start my own tag "Theme songs". Since I don't know very many people in the "blogger world" (I use quotations way too much!) feel free to borrow the idea, take the tag (I know the whole point is to be tagged but since I only know of a handful of bloggers... go ahead!)

So by theme song I mean movie, TV series, TV show, radio program, sitcom, anything like that.  You can write the title of the show and song or episode or season (I know some series like "The Cosby Show" have a different theme song each season) You can leave a link to a YouTube video with the song or post the video on your blog, whatever works.

First though, I am going to answer my own tag. (I'm not sure if that's what you are "suppose to do" anyways, or "not suppose to do", so sue me, I really want to do it!) I am going to do a count down for this one. (P.S click the title of the show/movie/program to go to a video with the theme song on it)

When it comes to theme songs, some of them are dull and you just fast forward them, but there are some good theme songs that I just love to listen to over and over again or that you enjoy listening to from beginning to end before the movie or show starts. (or radio program, as I said, everything goes)

#10
A classic to be sure (I like classics, as you will soon see) A movie or show has to be epic, classic or hilarious (or at least a little of one of the categories, or I simply will not watch it!)

#9
I haven't seen the movie (only clips) and I read a few pages here and there from the book out of curiosity, but I found a violin cover of  the theme song and I love it! I am not sure if I want to watch the whole movie, from what I can tell from the clips I watched and the pages I read, it is pretty gruesome. Some parts of the movie are a little graphic I think, by that I mean gory. Not really my thing.

#8
Now this isn't a movie theme song per se, but its Davy Jones theme and it has a sweet lullaby as well
heart wrenching dramatic organ music and if you have watched the movie then you know how this perfectly expresses Davy Jones.

#7
I have never watched Indiana Jones, but I love the soundtrack nonetheless!

#6
Yes I watched the Brady Bunch, and yes I liked it too! Its a timeless classic, and the theme song stays relatively the same for all 4 seasons, the kids get older and hairstyles change from one season to the next (boy do the hairstyles change!) I still love the show and would watch it again any day.

#5
Back to the future has an epic theme song, a strong orchestra is the only way I can describe it, it sets the mood well for the exciting parts of the movie.

#4
I haven't watched an entire episode, but from the clips I can find it seems hilarious, and the theme song is a classic must watch!

#3
Bill Cosby does some awful silly dance moves here, but I loved watching the whole theme song, relishing every second of it. And you have to see three year old Raven-Symone, she's adorable!

#2
As far as I can tell the battle song seems to be the Narnia theme song, and its beautiful!

#1
(If you know me this should come as no surprise!) There are other versions for movies 2,3 and 4 but this I consider the main one (besides I could fill up my whole blog with PotC) This song just gets you pumped up for the movie and if this doesn't excite you or makes you crave adventure no music ever will.

So there you have it, and now for my tag,
I "nominate" (because we are talking movies and music here) Abby at Castles in the Air
Have fun Abby!

Tagged by Abby: Top 10 Favorite Screen Chatacters

I was tagged by Abby at Castles in the air to chose 10 favorite screen characters, this will be hard (I mean I can think of just characters from "Pirates of the Caribbean" but there are so many others...) Also, I do not own any of the pictures)

Image result for Jack sparrow
Jack Sparrow (POTC)

He may seem like a odd self-centered Pirate, but he is really quite witty, unpredictable (in the most hilarious and best way) and he does have a good heart deep down. He saved Elizabeth from drowning, abandoned his crew, but came back, and he is the most hilarious character of any movie ever! (And hey, Johnny Depp, Savvy?)

Image result for elizabeth swann
Elizabeth Swann (POTC)

Elizabeth is strong, independent, smart and caring. (She is also a pirate lord) She marries Will Turner (sigh...) And I really hope they bring her back in the next movie (and Will Turner as well!) Elizabeth has a few moments that don't fit her character (Such as lying to Will and tying Jack to the ship indirectly killing him.) Overall she is simply one of the best characters I can think of.

 Image result for will turner
Will Turner (POTC)

Will cares about the people close to him, and he cares deeply about Elizabeth. He also cares about his father and sets out to kill Davy Jones to set him free. (and I'm not quick to call a character handsome, but in this case)

 Image result for edmund pevensie
Edmund Pevensie (Narnia)

Edmund the Just. He was easily lured onto the side of the White Witch in  "The lion, the witch and wardrobe" but he realized his mistakes and made it through a stronger person. He can be a bit rash at times, but he has a good heart and wants to do what is right. And he is my all time favorite Narnian Character

Image result for claire huxtable
Claire Huxtable (The Cosby Show)

The whole Huxtable family is hilarious and lovable, but my favorite is Claire, the matriarch of the family. She is the caring mother, and faithful wife but has a sometimes mischievous and fun side to her. She is smart, quick and charming and is the anchor of the family.

Image result for anne of green gables
Anne Shirley (Anne of Green Gables)

Anne (with an E) and I have a lot in common, we have a big imagination (for better or for worse), are always the ones with ideas (and usually the ones in trouble because of our ideas). But Anne just wants things to work out and cares about pleasing  Marilla and Mathew, and is truly a kindred spirit.

Image result for dr henry morgan
Dr Henry Morgan (Forever)

Dr Henry Morgan is over 200 years old and never ages, every time he dies he comes back in a nearby body of water. He discovered he was immortal after his first fatal bullet wound aboard a slave ship. He has to live with the people closest to him passing away eventually, But he cares and protects the ones he loves at all costs. He works with the NYPD examining the ...victims. He has picked up a lot of knowledge in his long life and jumps to quick and accurate conclusions that amaze his co-workers. He continually searches for a way to unlock his curse and has run ins with another immortal, Adam who is a Roman, alive for the past 2000 years.

Image result for james edwards mib
James Edwards a.k.a Agent J (MIB)

First of, MIB stands for men in black. Agent J is quick with  sarcastic remarks and a pretty witty character (And Will Smith is a good actor) there's not much more you can say.

Image result for marty mcfly
Marty McFly (Back to the future)

The movie is definitely a must watch, and Marty McFly is one character! Your typical teenage boy, Marty finds himself  thrust into the past where he has to find a way back home, he has to find and warn the professor who invented the time machine as he is killed at the time Marty takes his unexpected time travel trip. He also has to get his parents together after he inadvertently prevents their first meeting. Marty may be the typical teen boy, but he tries his best to make things work out, he has some hilarious moments and eventually learns to stop letting name calling get to him. (this may sound a little lame, but just watch the movie, you'll understand)

Image result for bugs bunny scenes
Bugs Bunny (Loony Toons)

Call me silly, call me crazy, but I had to include this cartoon characters that I still sometimes watch (just sometimes...) Bugs Bunny can talk and think his way out of any situation (of course it helps if most of the characters are the height of stupidity but that's besides the point) Its still fun to watch every now and then.

And that concludes my list! I do not know of another blogger to tag so I will just leave it.
